Sorry i couldn't post so frequently, had a terrible amount of holiday homework... Exams coming up.
Originally, my plan was to do reviews of animes of previous seasons, so as for all those who might be interested in watching these shows.
But since the 1st review was supposed to be up 2 weeks ago, i'm going to start spamming.
Allright, the first review i'm going to do is "Yumekui Merry" (夢喰いメリー)
As you all know, it just ended about 2 months ago, unter the Winter 2010 season.
Yumekui Merry is one of those animes which is filled with aspirations & passion, and sheds new light on dreams and ambitions. Life revolves around Yumeji Fujiwara normally. From young, he had the ability to see what people had dreamt, as well as what they will be dreaming in the future; which is depicted by colours he is able to view with his eyes.
Up to recently, he's been having weird dreams of cats chasing him, whom the leader, Chaser John Doe, is trying to hunt him down in order to use him as a vessel.
To put it simply, a vessel is what a dream demons, (people from the dream world) need in order to travel to the other side (the human world).
Yeah... That's how he reads Dreams. o_o |
The story actually begins with a girl, Merry Nightmare, crash landing on top of Yumeji. She has only faint recollections of her past, as well as what is going on, but she exists in the real world as a dream demon, and her only motive is to go back to the dream world.

She goes crazy over donuts... |
However, the world is in crisis, for an evil dream demon, Pharos Hercules wishes to take over the world, by raising an army of humans as demon vessels! Yumeji & Merry have to stop him at all costs! I think it's better for you to watch what happens.
In the manga, the plot is currently centering around what Pharos is doing & a sudden attack on the school. Chaser John Doe is also disguised as a cat in the manga.
However, in the anime, there are new characters, such as Mystletainn, an evil dream demon who kills dreams mercilessly in blood.
Yumekui Merry is certainly a good anime, as it has good art, and a very unique concept to it. It also isn't those sort of self-centered ecchi anime anyways. However, i have to say, action wasn't quite portrayed well. The ending finale also didn't quite have the punch it needed, so don't go expecting a full on climax-sort of finale.
Oh yeah, and the anime's OP, Daydream Syndrome is awesome. Even got my band to do it.
Yumekui Merry Fansubs are provided by... Well i'm not very sure, but i got mine from Ayako. I think gg also did subs for it. Yumekui Merry has 13 episodes.
If you are reading this, another review is coming up after this. Stay tuned!
