Past Animes Review: Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi / オオカミさんと七人の仲間たち

Yo! This is the 3rd segment of the anime reviews marathon!

I would also like to announce that i've taken on a challenge! To watch ALL of "Detective Conan" episodes since 1996! All episodes up to 622 or smth like that! Currently at episode 77!

Today's review will be on a classic anime, "Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi"(オオカミさんと七人の仲間たち) !
English: "Ookami-san and her seven companions".

So what is this anime basically about? Well, it is actually a comedy romance anime that parodies many classical folktales, such as "Little Red Riding Hood", "Hanzel and Gretel", "The Ant and The Grasshopper", "Tortoise and the Hare", etc.

The setting is in Otogibana City, and by which there is an Otogi High School, of which there is a place called "Otogi Bank" What is "Otogi Bank" you might ask.

In the show, the "Otogi Bank" help fufil the requests given to them, whchever sort of request anyway, anyhow. But with the shy Morino, tsundere Ryouko, inventor Majolica, jealous Otohime, flirtatious Tarou, serious Alice, nervous Ryoushi, maid Otsuu, and crossdressing Risuto, would they succeed?

In the first episode, the other main character, Ryoshi Morino, confesses to Ryouko. It fails, but then one way or another, he is enrolled into "Otogi Bank", and works next to Ryouko and Akai Ringo (Who is the little red riding hood). The main story focuses on Ryouko, her past life in a different high-school and environment, and how things became as they were. Apparently, her ex-boyfirend of the previous school, Hitsujikai Shiro attempted something which left her devastated. The theme of the anime revolves around Morino, who does his best to protect Ryouko whatever way he can.

I would suppose this is the "cute" and "warm" type of anime of the season, something very similar to "Mayo Neko-Overrun!", just without so much ECCHI. The anime is interesting because all the characters portray a certain character from a folktale, and it actually has a narrator speaking in the background. It includes comedy, romance and TSUNDERE from Ryouko! She's so cute when she does that! I probably wouldn't want to explain the romance part, best that you enjoy it by watching!
